Pizza Prices Are Lower at Progressive Field

Cleveland Indians LogoIn what could be one of the biggest surprises in Cleveland Indians baseball since Joe Charboneau’s 1980 rookie season, the Tribe has decided to drop the price of pizza sold at Progressive Field. Talk about progressive, that’s the Indians for you.

We wish we could report they’re rolling back pizza prices to the time when good ole’ Joe Charboneau belted 23 homers for the Tribe, but the Indians aren’t that progressive. However, you’ll definitely notice the lower pizza prices. Pizza is not the only concession favorite to be reduced. The Indians are lowering prices on hot dogs, nachos, pretzels an much more.

Indians president Mark Shapiro said they surveyed the fans on how to improve their Progressive Field experiences and lower concession prices topped the lists of many fans. When Indians fans speak, the Indians listen. Well, that is debatable isn’t it?

The biggest changes in concession prices will be seen with plain old hot dogs at $3.00. But if you like hot dogs with all the works, that price could rise. Beers (12 oz domestic) will now be $4.00 each. But most important to us at PizzaSpotz is the fact that pizza will also cost less. No details on how much less, but less money is always a good thing when it comes to prices.

No longer will fans be right when they say the Indians ownership cares more about making money than giving Cleveland a good baseball team. This new lower priced concessions policy proves they care a little less about making money, but the 2013 season will prove whether or not they really care about providing Indians fans with a real quality baseball team.
