Irving, TX – Nov. 11th, 2013 / PizzaSpotz Press Release / — PizzaSpotz.com, a fun Yelp alternative for pizza lovers decided to express a token of their appreciation for veterans on a day reserved for those who have fought for America over the years.
The Pizza Delivery Car:
The 2014 Titanium Ford Fiesta was donated by Ford Motor Company for pizza deliveries to be made to local veterans in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. The Fiesta is a great vehicle for pizza deliveries, or any deliveries for that matter. If pizza chains start buying fleets of vehicles, these cars could be a choice for many franchises. The Pizzerias
PizzaSpotz partnered originally with i Fratelli Pizza (headquartered in Irving) for a large pizza giveaway for veterans at the annual Dallas Veterans Day Parade. That didn’t quite work out the way it was planned, so instead, various veterans organizations were found where pizza could be delivered.
The pizzeria partners were: The first delivery – i Fratelli Pizza (Uptown Dallas)
The second delivery – Grimaldi’s Pizzeria (Grapevine)
The third delivery – Marco’s Pizza (Bedford)
The Veterans
i Fratelli pizzas were delivered to American Legion post #453
Grimaldi’s pies were delivered to VFW Post 10454
Marco’s Pizza was delivered to the vets at American Legion Post #379 in Bedford, TX.
The Future
This was PizzaSpotz.com’s first annual pizza giveaway for veterans. “We want to do this again next year but on a bigger scale. I just wish we could do so much more for our vets,” says PizzaSpotz.com founder Brian Humek.
