One of the best ever family comedies created for television was Leave it to Beaver. In an era of television where studios produced 39 episodes a season, there are plenty of Leave it to Beaver episodes to choose from.

10. Beaver, the Model – Season 3

Beaver does not heed the good advice of his father Ward and gets scammed by a fake modeling agency in New York City. He sends in his picture to the agency and does not read the fine print which says he must buy a modeling catalog with his picture in it. Things like this always happen when Beaver listens to Eddie Haskell and his unsolicited advice.

9. Wally’s Practical Joke – Season 6

Wally and Eddie’s friend Lumpy Rutherford plays a practical joke on both Eddie and Wally, placing smoke bombs in each of their cars. Eddie plans revenge and ropes Wally into the action. The practical joke goes too far and big damage is done to Lumpy’s car, more damage than was done to either Eddie’s or Wally’s car.

8. Wally the Businessman – Season 3

Wally gets a great summer job selling ice cream. As he pedals around Mayfield peddling his goods, he sells too much of it on credit to his friends. That’s a mistake. Big trouble is barely averted when it comes time for his boss to collect the ice cream proceeds.





7. Wally’s License – Season 6

Every boy knows the feeling of getting their license. Every parent knows that feeling too and at the time it’s happening, they’re scared for their child and possibly scared for other drivers on the road. In this episode, June finally relents and lets Wally take Driver’s education. It turns out that Wally isn’t such a good driver when class begins, at least not as good as the girl taking the lessons with him.

6. The Black Eye – Season 1

One of the best episodes that shows how cute the young Beaver can be. You’ll be quoting the line, “You wanna get gressive with me?” for a long while after watching this episode. Will Beaver hit a girl who gave him a black eye? Not knowing the perpetrator is a girl, Beaver’s father Ward teaches Beaver how to fight back against the kid who hurt his son.

5. Water Anyone? – Season 1

Talk about a manipulator, on one of the hottest days of the summer, Beaver finds out that the city is going to cut off the water in his neighborhood. He takes advantage of his secret knowledge and corners the water market, selling cups of water to Wally and all of his friends.

4. The Big Fish Count – Season 4

Eddie Haskell gets a job at the local pet store. The shop runs a contest to guess how many fish are in a tank. The best guess wins a great prize. Eddie knows the count and tells his friend Lumpy Rutherford. He promises not to tell anyone else. Guess what? Lumpy lied. The end result is hilarious and Eddie will have to find a new job.

3. Beaver’s First Date – Season 5

A few Leave it to Beaver episodes focus on Beaver’s time at dancing school. In this one, Beaver actually enjoys going. Of course, it’s because of a girl. With Wally’s help, he gets the nerve up to ask her out to a formal dance put on by the school. He enjoys her time with her, but in the end, learns more about girls than he wanted to learn.

2. In the Soup – Season 4

Wally is going to have a party at home and wants Beaver out of the house because Beaver causes trouble and embarrasses Wally when the big kids are around. Beaver is pawned off on Whitey Whitney and will spend the night at his house. With Beaver out of the house, there’s no way he could embarrass Wally, or is there?

1. Wally’s Haircomb – Season 2

Of all Leave it to Beaver episodes, this one will have you laughing the most. It will also hit very close to home if you’ve ever raised a son who wanted to express his individuality. The episode also expresses some really great parenting advice that is still relevant for children of today’s generation. You’ll watch this episode over and over again and enjoy it every time.
